Fabian Turcescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elemér Udvarhelyi's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. After 24 minutes of play, Timbau CSM's Elemér Udvarhelyi made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabian Turcescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Zburliş in the 29th minute of play forced Timbau CSM's goalkeeper Tudor Balțoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elemér Udvarhelyi in the 31st minute of play forced fc.zarnesti.brasov's goalkeeper Fabian Turcescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The supporters of Timbau CSM booed when fc.zarnesti.brasov was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Neaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabian Turcescu was a little too slow when Elias Olenberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 1-5. The Timbau CSM fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when Timbau CSM's Elemér Udvarhelyi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 62 minutes into the match, fc.zarnesti.brasov's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Olenberg came free, but Fabian Turcescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Elemér Udvarhelyi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Timbau CSM's supporters rose to their feet, but Elemér Udvarhelyi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabian Turcescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcel Răchită struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Tudor Balțoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for fc.zarnesti.brasov. In the 70th match minute, fc.zarnesti.brasov was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Bălan to maneuver through the defense. Fabian Turcescu made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Elemér Udvarhelyi sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Timbau CSM booed when fc.zarnesti.brasov was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Turbatu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elias Olenberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Fabian Turcescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute Nechifor Ispas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Turcescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Timbau CSM played a much better game than fc.zarnesti.brasov and deserved their victory. The fc.zarnesti.brasov players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
