Petre Tufescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nae Beniuc went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After 32 played minutes Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Mihai Lucrețiu. When Marin Angheloiu fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ASU POLI TIMISOARA's protests and gave Marin Angheloiu a yellow card for diving instead. Marin Angheloiu kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Nae Beniuc struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Petre Tufescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter Sport Cluj-Napoca. 40 minutes into the match, Cristinel Iurea dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Petre Tufescu, 4-0.
