FK Patašiniai's Agnius Merkelis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save FK Patašiniai from getting a goal against them. In the 20th minute, Virginijus Urbonavičius ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dobilas Mažutavičius was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Dobilas Mažutavičius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Airūnas Dajoras in the 32nd minute of the match. Saulius Dovydaitis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agnius Merkelis having to interfere. In the 39th match minute, vitlauma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimondas Paleckas to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute of the match Daugirdas Buivys sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dobilas Mažutavičius skillfully saved the ball. In the 46th minute, Airūnas Dajoras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Airūnas Dajoras to strike the kick off in the second half. FK Patašiniai's Agnius Merkelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darijus Vilimavičius in the 52nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in vitlauma's zone, Virginijus Urbonavičius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dobilas Mažutavičius came out of the goal and Virginijus Urbonavičius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute Saulius Dovydaitis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agnius Merkelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of vitlauma booed when FK Patašiniai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Algitas Podėris didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hubertas Judeikis hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Agnius Merkelis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darijus Vilimavičius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
