To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 64 minutes into the match, UNITED's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Šimkūnas came free, but Augustinas Dabulskis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romualdas Baltuška in the 67th minute of play forced UNITED's goalkeeper Augustinas Dabulskis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. UNITED's Augustinas Dabulskis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romualdas Baltuška in the 69th minute of play. Augustinas Dabulskis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Šimkūnas in the 73rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karolis Gerulskis in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arūnas Daugirdas saved Skirsnemunes from getting behind. UNITED's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Skirsnemunes had won, even though UNITED had held more of the ball.
