The audience thought a goal was coming when Astijus Pužauskas got free with Svajūnas Jasaitis in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Svajūnas Jasaitis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jokūbas Saunorius, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aistis Čiapas during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a little luck, Elada's Svajūnas Jasaitis got control of the ball when Astijus Pužauskas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Astijus Pužauskas might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Svajūnas Jasaitis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Astijus Pužauskas ran back to his position shaking his head. Jokūbas Saunorius received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Svajūnas Jasaitis came out and tried to block the shot, but Jokūbas Saunorius slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 40th minute.

Zigmas Zibavičius charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zigmas Zibavičius the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zigmas Zibavičius hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Dalius Čiras's late challenge caught a Lapes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dalius Čiras helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Lapes booed when Elada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Svajūnas Jasaitis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
