Spectators: 6943 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1943, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sigitas Makūnas took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Adas Laumakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Irmantas Lavickas came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Sporting Klapeida fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Irmantas Lavickas couldn't finish the play. Raimondas Norkus hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Kropilai's Eurelijus Kirklys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigitas Makūnas in the 15th minute of play. After 17 played minutes Kropilai got a freekick which was hit by Dominykas Mikėnas. Eligijus Gruodis struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Eurelijus Kirklys didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Klapeida. 19 minutes into the game, Šarūnas Šemeta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Eurelijus Kirklys was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sigitas Makūnas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eurelijus Kirklys showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leocadio Barral in the 27th minute of the match. Eurelijus Kirklys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eligijus Gruodis in the 28th minute of play. When Raimondas Norkus fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kropilai's protests and gave Raimondas Norkus a yellow card for diving instead. After 29 played minutes Kropilai got a freekick which was hit by Raimondas Norkus. Irmantas Lavickas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Kropilai's zone, Irmantas Lavickas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eurelijus Kirklys came out of the goal and Irmantas Lavickas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eligijus Gruodis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eurelijus Kirklys having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Irmantas Lavickas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adas Laumakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dominykas Mikėnas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leocadio Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Eurelijus Kirklys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Irmantas Lavickas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Klapeida's supporters rose to their feet, but Irmantas Lavickas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eurelijus Kirklys breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Leocadio Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eligijus Gruodis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th play minute Sigitas Makūnas came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Eurelijus Kirklys. 0-2. Sigitas Makūnas might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eurelijus Kirklys. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sigitas Makūnas ran back to his position shaking his head. A hard shot 67 in the game by Sigitas Makūnas from a close distance when the talented Eurelijus Kirklys managed to make a qualified save. Kropilai's players were relieved. 72 minutes into the game, Irmantas Lavickas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eurelijus Kirklys. Irmantas Lavickas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Leocadio Barral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eurelijus Kirklys having to interfere. Sporting Klapeida's Armin Barberio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aivaras Dekanis in the 79th minute of play. Sporting Klapeida's Sigitas Makūnas got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Kropilai's goalkeeper Eurelijus Kirklys had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sigitas Makūnas. Marijus Pučinksas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eurelijus Kirklys having to interfere. If Sigitas Makūnas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Sporting Klapeida could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kropilai throughout the match.
