Vakaris Damanskas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Girkantas Komskis in the 10th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artūras Jasinskas during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match had been going on for 13 minutes, Champions of Lithuania's Laimonas Tarvydas got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Vakaris Damanskas. The audience was convinced that Adolfas Taujanskas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vaclovas Mikšys was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. When Girkantas Komskis fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Champions of Lithuania's protests and gave Girkantas Komskis a yellow card for diving instead. Girkantas Komskis kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Irtautas Macijauskas kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eidvilas Dabriška in the 33rd minute of play forced Zpoone's goalkeeper Vakaris Damanskas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vaclovas Mikšys came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Zpoone's Adolfas Taujanskas. But to his dismay, Adolfas Taujanskas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 42 minutes into the match, Zpoone's Adolfas Taujanskas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vaclovas Mikšys narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Algirdas Damulis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Regimantas Bučinskas made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes in the game, Adolfas Taujanskas fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Vaclovas Mikšys having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Zpoone's goal looked a bit too open when Eidvilas Dabriška came free, but Vakaris Damanskas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kristijonas Matiušaitis during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Algirdas Damulis in the 67th minute of play forced Zpoone's goalkeeper Vakaris Damanskas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zpoone's Vakaris Damanskas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eidvilas Dabriška in the 74th minute of play. Vakaris Damanskas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Girkantas Komskis in the 79th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Zpoone's Artūras Jasinskas got a free kick in the 85th minute. After some careless play in the Zpoone defense, Gražvydas Pakintis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vakaris Damanskas. The Zpoone fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vakaris Damanskas should have stopped the shot.
