Skirmantas Barvainis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Ovidijus Geibūnas when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eugenijus Rutkauskas made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Levintoy's zone, Sven Vallin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidijus Geibūnas came out of the goal and Sven Vallin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ziemowit Galaska made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martynas Kraujalis in the 55th minute. The audience was convinced that Skirmantas Barvainis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ovidijus Geibūnas was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Vilmantas Adomavičius charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Ovidijus Geibūnas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Skirmantas Barvainis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
