Dionysis Papadopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthimos Fotakoglou, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Anthimos Fotakoglou blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dionysis Papadopoulos having to make a save. Avraam Rousseas kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Dionysis Papadopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kostas Kagiorgis in the 21st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Klió FC's zone, Miltiadis Giannopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michalis Katevatis came out of the goal and Miltiadis Giannopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Giorgos Ntovas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the match, Klió FC's Christos Zinas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dionysis Papadopoulos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Gríspiani's goal looked a bit too open when Christos Zinas came free, but Dionysis Papadopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Giorgos Ntovas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dionysis Papadopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christos Zinas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miltiadis Giannopoulos to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Klió FC's Christos Zinas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dionysis Papadopoulos. That made the score 0-1 after 59 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anthimos Fotakoglou got free with Dionysis Papadopoulos in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dionysis Papadopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christos Zinas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the match, Gríspiani's goal looked a bit too open when Christos Zinas came free, but Dionysis Papadopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Klió FC booed when Gríspiani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adamantios Fetfatzidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Miltiadis Giannopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gríspiani's supporters rose to their feet, but Miltiadis Giannopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michalis Katevatis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dionysis Papadopoulos was a little too slow when Christos Zinas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 0-2. Anthimos Fotakoglou struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Dionysis Papadopoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Klió FC. If Christos Zinas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christos Zinas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionysis Papadopoulos having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Klió FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
