A collision led to Rizario getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Theofanis Vaitsis hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Chuan Arciniega had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tolis Kostakis. Rizario's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chuan Arciniega was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 27 minutes into the match, ELLAS SYROY FC's goalkeeper Daniil Kantimiris had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Menios Stergiadis. Ermis Koumanidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tolis Kostakis having to interfere. Ermis Koumanidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Tolis Kostakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chuan Arciniega in the 43rd minute of play forced Rizario's goalkeeper Tolis Kostakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 56 minutes, Iason Chatzipetrou mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rizario and the ELLAS SYROY FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of ELLAS SYROY FC booed when Rizario was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iason Chatzipetrou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Notis Valkanis hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After having played for 63 minutes, Menios Stergiadis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rizario's supporters crossed their fingers, but Menios Stergiadis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Rizario's zone, Chuan Arciniega stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tolis Kostakis came out of the goal and Chuan Arciniega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 79 minutes into the match, ELLAS SYROY FC's goal looked a bit too open when Iason Chatzipetrou came free, but Daniil Kantimiris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ermis Koumanidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Although Rizario had been in control for most of the match, ELLAS SYROY FC still came away with the win.
