Michalis Georgeas scored 0-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Markos Kouromichelakis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 33rd minute, Michalis Georgeas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Markos Kouromichelakis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The supporters of Supernova booed when Foiníkion BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paraskevas Papadamopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

58 minutes into the match, Foiníkion BC's goalkeeper Markos Kouromichelakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexandros Melogiannis. Markos Kouromichelakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michalis Georgeas in the 61st minute of play. Ermis Tsiantakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eutichios Christoulis in the 62nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pantelis Stamatelos during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ermis Tsiantakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eutichios Christoulis, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 79thth minute of the game Aggelos Roros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Supernova's Ermis Tsiantakis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 85 played minutes Foiníkion BC got a freekick which was hit by Stamatis Tsiligiridis. In the 88th minute, Stamatis Tsiligiridis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Markos Kouromichelakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Supernova. Alexandros Melogiannis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markos Kouromichelakis having to interfere. Alexandros Melogiannis kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Supernova had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
