After a rather tough play, Iliσfoton's Apostolis Vrasidas got a free kick in the 12th minute. Valentinos Kyriakakoglou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thymios Nikitopoulos in the 16th minute of the match. Valentinos Kyriakakoglou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thymios Nikitopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thymios Nikitopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nikitas Zolotas got free with Valentinos Kyriakakoglou in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valentinos Kyriakakoglou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thymios Nikitopoulos in the 21st minute of the match. Vassilis Atmatzidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thanos Zotalopoulos in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Iliσfoton's Apostolis Vrasidas got a free kick in the 25th minute. Giorgos Zoras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. The supporters of Oxford University booed when Iliσfoton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christoforos Stamatis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Apostolis Vrasidas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valentinos Kyriakakoglou having to make a save. Valentinos Kyriakakoglou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thymios Nikitopoulos in the 66th minute of the match. Valentinos Kyriakakoglou didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nikitas Zolotas went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Thanos Zotalopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vassilis Atmatzidis having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Thymios Nikitopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iliσfoton's supporters rose to their feet, but Thymios Nikitopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentinos Kyriakakoglou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Giorgos Zoras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vassilis Atmatzidis having to interfere. Thanos Zotalopoulos struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Vassilis Atmatzidis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oxford University. With a little luck, Iliσfoton's Vassilis Atmatzidis got control of the ball when Thanos Zotalopoulos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Christoforos Stamatis kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. 92 minutes in the game, Giorgos Zoras fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Vassilis Atmatzidis having to interfere. Thanos Zotalopoulos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vassilis Atmatzidis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Oxford University's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
