Dimos Micheloudakis succeeded in the game's 32nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Dhalietαtika's zone, Markos Kolevas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Minas Maggioros came out of the goal and Markos Kolevas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Dhalietαtika players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Charlton were winning 0-2.

After 55 minutes, Fondas Kalathakis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dhalietαtika and the Charlton players grew even worse after the yellow card. Stavros Karopoulos got his second yellow card in the match during the 94th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Stavros Karopoulos hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The Charlton supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Charlton would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
