Spectators: 6768 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fotis Panoutsos started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Kostas Marinakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitris Kountouroudas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Elatokhσri's zone, Kleanthis Perivolakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fanis Kassianidis came out of the goal and Kleanthis Perivolakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute Sotiris Takounakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitris Kountouroudas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dimitris Kountouroudas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fotis Panoutsos in the 17th minute of play. Fanis Kassianidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Savas Karagiannakis in the 18th minute of the match. Kleanthis Perivolakis was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 22nd minute. Patrikαta BC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. A collision led to Elatokhσri getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Loukas Kefalou hit a great ball. Kleanthis Perivolakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Fanis Kassianidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute Kostas Marinakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitris Kountouroudas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Loukas Kefalou ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dimitris Kountouroudas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Dimitris Kountouroudas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fotis Panoutsos, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Dimitris Kountouroudas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kostas Marinakis in the 39th minute of the match. Vaggelis Fotopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Kostas Marinakis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dimitris Kountouroudas. Patrikαta BC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kostas Marinakis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kleanthis Perivolakis made a kick off. Dimitris Kountouroudas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fotis Panoutsos in the 52nd minute of play. After 54 minutes of play, Patrikαta BC's Nikos Kostantelos made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fanis Kassianidis was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 58 minutes, Christos Barbetakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Patrikαta BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christos Barbetakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Grigoris Kafropoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Patrikαta BC's supporters rose to their feet, but Grigoris Kafropoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fanis Kassianidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 68 minutes into the match, Sotiris Takounakis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dimitris Kountouroudas, 1-3. Nikos Kostantelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Fanis Kassianidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Grigoris Kafropoulos notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Elatokhσri's Fanis Kassianidis. Fanis Kassianidis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Elatokhσri booed when Patrikαta BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Notis Zintanopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elatokhσri's Daniil Bakalopoulos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 79th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Patrikαta BC. Christos Barbetakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Fanis Kassianidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Loukas Kefalou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Patrikαta BC's zone, Kostas Marinakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dimitris Kountouroudas came out of the goal and Kostas Marinakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dimitris Kountouroudas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kostas Marinakis in the 97th minute. The Elatokhσri supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Elatokhσri would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
