The audience thought a goal was coming when Efthimis Sapounelis got free with Sokratis Gryparis in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 9th minute, Lefteris Kolas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Antonis Koukodimos sped through Godhιna FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alexis Loukoumakis. Apostolis Kostakis scored 0-2 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexis Loukoumakis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lefteris Kolas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sokratis Gryparis came out and tried to block the shot, but Lefteris Kolas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 20th minute. Fanis Papaefstathiou's late challenge caught a Godhιna FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fanis Papaefstathiou helped the player get up and apologised. Sokratis Gryparis was a little too slow when Efthimis Sapounelis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 2-2. The supporters of Godhιna FC booed when Voliσnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ntinos Asimos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Voliσnes's goal looked a bit too open when Efthimis Sapounelis came free, but Sokratis Gryparis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Voliσnes's zone, Efthimis Sapounelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sokratis Gryparis came out of the goal and Efthimis Sapounelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Efthimis Sapounelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Sokratis Gryparis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godhιna FC's Alexis Loukoumakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonis Koukodimos in the 44th minute of play. Kostas Antoniou hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Alexis Loukoumakis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antonis Koukodimos went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antonis Koukodimos was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, Godhιna FC's Lefteris Kolas made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sokratis Gryparis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Apostolis Kostakiss short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Alexis Loukoumakis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fotis Bousoulas charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fotis Bousoulas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th match minute, Voliσnes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fotis Bousoulas to maneuver through the defense. Sokratis Gryparis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efthimis Sapounelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexis Loukoumakis came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Voliσnes's Antonis Koukodimos. But to his dismay, Antonis Koukodimos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-4. Godhιna FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
