Alexis Loukoumakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikos Kabotsakis in the 6th minute of the match. When Efthimis Sapounelis came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Godhιna FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Efthimis Sapounelis couldn't finish the play. 10 minutes into the match, Efthimis Sapounelis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vaggelis Solakis, 1-0. If Lefteris Kolas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexis Loukoumakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loukas Valassakis in the 17th minute of play. Kostas Antoniou's late challenge caught a KoPiDia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kostas Antoniou helped the player get up and apologised. Kostas Antoniou kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Loukas Valassakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Nikos Kabotsakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. KoPiDia's supporters rose to their feet, but Nikos Kabotsakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexis Loukoumakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vaggelis Solakis made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Lefteris Kolas sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute of the match Omiros Pantaleon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexis Loukoumakis skillfully saved the ball. Loukas Valassakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Alexis Loukoumakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, Godhιna FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kostas Antoniou to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Loukas Valassakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Loukas Valassakis got free with Alexis Loukoumakis in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kostas Antoniou hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Godhιna FC's zone, Loukas Valassakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexis Loukoumakis came out of the goal and Loukas Valassakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loukas Valassakis in the 60th minute of play forced Godhιna FC's goalkeeper Alexis Loukoumakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute of the match Markos Simitis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vaggelis Solakis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Efthimis Sapounelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Vaggelis Solakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Loukas Valassakis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alexis Loukoumakis came out and tried to block the shot, but Loukas Valassakis slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 78th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nikos Kabotsakis got free with Alexis Loukoumakis in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 86 minutes Godhιna FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alekos Orfanopoulos who took care of the corner kick. Vassilis Stratigakis charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vassilis Stratigakis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Godhιna FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Vassilis Stratigakis hit a great ball. Lefteris Kolas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vaggelis Solakis having to make a save. Efthimis Sapounelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Godhιna FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching KoPiDia's performance. The match ended with a win for KoPiDia.
