The supporters of Pastida Fc booed when Αkova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Markos Karaflas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5thth minute of the game Zacharias Mostratos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Αkova's Thanasis Vamvakousis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanasis Stiliaras recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dionysis Neophytou hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Aris Leontakoglou could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Savas Papantoniou made a huge save. The supporters of Αkova booed when Pastida Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alkis Koutsospyros didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pastida Fc's zone, Thanasis Stiliaras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Savas Papantoniou came out of the goal and Thanasis Stiliaras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Zacharias Mostratos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Antonis Darlas made a precise shot to the right of Thanasis Vamvakousis. Αkova's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 29th match minute, Pastida Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Telis Zacharatos to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 30 minutes, Thanasis Stiliaras managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Αkova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thanasis Stiliaras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Αkova's Aris Leontakoglou got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Αkova's Thanasis Vamvakousis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lambros Makaronas in the 38th minute of play. Savas Papantoniou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thanasis Stiliaras in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 44th minute Markos Karaflas suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Telis Zacharatos charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Telis Zacharatos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice moves Aris Leontakoglou could shoot a difficult shot in the 47th minute, which Savas Papantoniou however easily saved by the left post. After the first half Pastida Fc were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Aris Leontakoglou made the kick off in the second half. Telis Zacharatos kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Αkova's Thanasis Vamvakousis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lambros Makaronas in the 62nd minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Αkova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thanasis Stiliaras to maneuver through the defense. Antonis Darlas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thanasis Vamvakousis having to make a save. 77 minutes into the game, Pavlos Stamatakos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pastida Fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Αkova the free kick. Pastida Fc:s Savas Papantoniou showed great skill when he stopped Giorgos Sardinis:s penalty. Αkova were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Pastida Fc's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Giorgos Sardinis took the corner. The corner ended in Giorgos Sardinis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pastida Fc's Savas Papantoniou did a great save. Thanasis Vamvakousis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonis Darlas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antonis Darlas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thanasis Vamvakousis having to interfere. After some careless play in the Pastida Fc defense, Aris Leontakoglou kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Savas Papantoniou. The Pastida Fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Savas Papantoniou should have stopped the shot. 96 minutes into the match, Αkova's goalkeeper Thanasis Vamvakousis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zacharias Mostratos. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
