Aris Leontakoglou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanasis Stiliaras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Loukas Bletsas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Aris Leontakoglou came free, but Loukas Bletsas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Loukas Bletsas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aris Leontakoglou in the 21st minute of the match. Aris Leontakoglou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Loukas Bletsas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thanasis Stiliaras, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thanasis Stiliaras stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kyriakos Klanakis took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thanasis Vamvakousis. Thanasis Vamvakousis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Thanasis Vamvakousis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyriakos Klanakis in the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyriakos Klanakis in the 64th minute of play forced Αkova's goalkeeper Thanasis Vamvakousis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Thanasis Stiliaras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kyriakos Klanakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thanasis Vamvakousis having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Αkova's goal looked a bit too open when Thanasis Iordanidis came free, but Thanasis Vamvakousis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Kyriakos Klanakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the game, Dimitris Tsichlas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stars's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Αkova the free kick. After a rather tough play, Stars's Dimitris Tsichlas got a free kick in the 92nd minute. If Kyriakos Klanakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Αkova players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Stars.
