The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Theofanis Koutroutsos during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Giorgos Poulianitis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Kleanthis Chionidis made a huge save. A.O. Aigaleo's Kleanthis Chionidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustratios Vdelas in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, A.O. Aigaleo's Dimitris Skandalis got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Iraklis's Petros Grigoros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iason Kotitsas in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th match minute, Iraklis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Konstantinos Fasolis to maneuver through the defense. Kleanthis Chionidis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Iason Kotitsas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Petros Grigoros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veniamin Dabizas in the 55th minute of play forced Iraklis's goalkeeper Petros Grigoros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 56 minutes, Telis Grigoriou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.O. Aigaleo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Telis Grigoriou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Telis Grigoriou kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Eustratios Vdelas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aggelos Kopsokefalos charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aggelos Kopsokefalos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th match minute, A.O.
