After a defensive mix-up in Xalkida's zone, Veniamin Dabizas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marinos Stabouloglou came out of the goal and Veniamin Dabizas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iason Kapsis charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Vassilis Apostolidis's late challenge caught a A.O. Aigaleo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 55th minute Vassilis Apostolidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kleanthis Chionidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 61 played minutes, Xalkida's Renos Trilofos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kleanthis Chionidis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Xalkida reached it. 64 minutes into the game, A.O. Aigaleo's Veniamin Dabizas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aigaleo's goal looked a bit too open when Stefanos Tsouknidas came free, but Kleanthis Chionidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kleanthis Chionidis didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Xalkida's Stefanos Tsouknidas shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-1 in the ordered_time% minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vassilis Apostolidis in the 87th minute of play forced A.O. Aigaleo's goalkeeper Kleanthis Chionidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
