The Metaxádhes BC fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Metaxádhes BC's Takis Kardaris looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Emmanouil Papafotakos hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Nikos Niniadis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paschalis Papagiannidis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Trifon Tsouloufidis's late challenge caught a Metaxádhes BC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Trifon Tsouloufidis helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Airforce getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Trifon Tsouloufidis hit a great ball. Takis Kardaris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marios Martinopoulos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nikiforos Aggelou went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of Airforce booed when Metaxádhes BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Akis Siatzis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute Aris Vamvoukas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marios Martinopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 played minutes Metaxádhes BC got a freekick which was hit by Dimitris Telatos. After some careless play in the Metaxádhes BC defense, Nikiforos Aggelou kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marios Martinopoulos. The Metaxádhes BC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marios Martinopoulos should have stopped the shot. 91 minutes into the game, Nikiforos Aggelou cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Marios Martinopoulos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 97 minutes into the game, Takis Kardaris cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
