When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Jimi Törmänen put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Kuisma Puutio. Niilo Eklund came free with the goalkeeper in the 11th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Eerik Ronkainen could save by the left post. Pertti Pirnes kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Eerik Ronkainen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaakkima Rinne in the 13th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Honkimaa F.C's Miro Nikko got a free kick in the 14th minute. When Jimi Törmänen came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the FC...Musashi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimi Törmänen couldn't finish the play. Niilo Eklund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eerik Ronkainen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Jaakkima Rinne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eerik Ronkainen having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Honkimaa F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Aukusti Kaukonen came free, but Kuisma Puutio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Pertti Pirnes managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC...Musashi's supporters rose to their feet, but Pertti Pirnes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kuisma Puutio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of FC...Musashi booed when Honkimaa F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aku Etula didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute Jimi Törmänen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kuisma Puutio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC...Musashi were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Honkimaa F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rikhard Paajanen took the corner. 34 minutes into the match, Honkimaa F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Jimi Törmänen came free, but Kuisma Puutio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kuisma Puutio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aukusti Kaukonen, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. FC...Musashi's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Niilo Eklund scored to the left of an out of position Eerik Ronkainen, making the score, 1-1. With his leg Eerik Ronkainen managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Honkimaa F.C's Niilo Eklund fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After the first half FC...Musashi were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jimi Törmänen to make the kick off. If Niilo Eklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jaakkima Rinne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kuisma Puutio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heikki Puumala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Honkimaa F.C's Kuisma Puutio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pertti Pirnes in the 96th minute of play. After having played for 98 minutes, Jaakkima Rinne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honkimaa F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaakkima Rinne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chants of FC...Musashi echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Honkimaa F.C had held the ball for most of the match.
