Spectators: 5500 (Terracing: 4500, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Veeti Järventie kicked off to start the match. Vesa Ruohiainen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Veeti Miinalainen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 4th minute, Heimo Vanhatalo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Veeti Miinalainen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 9th minute Nikodemus Leppilampi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timo Palander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Veeti Miinalainen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heimo Vanhatalo in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Nikodemus Leppilampi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Timo Palander was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. FC Tampere's Timo Palander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikodemus Leppilampi in the 15th minute of play. Vesa Ruohiainen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Veeti Miinalainen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Lausti getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Tommi Salmelainen hit a great ball. Heimo Vanhatalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Veeti Miinalainen having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, FC Tampere's goal looked a bit too open when Veeti Järventie came free, but Timo Palander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Heimo Vanhatalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26thth minute of the game Veeti Järventie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Tampere's Timo Palander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Konstantin Kouhi fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lausti's protests and gave Konstantin Kouhi a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Lausti's Konstantin Kouhi got a free kick in the 29th minute. Veeti Miinalainen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heimo Vanhatalo in the 32nd minute of the match. When FC Tampere's Heimo Vanhatalo in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lausti's goalie prevented a goal. FC Tampere's Heimo Vanhatalo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 38th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vesa Ruohiainen got free with Veeti Miinalainen in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Veeti Miinalainen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heimo Vanhatalo in the 45th minute of the match. Veeti Miinalainen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heimo Vanhatalo, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Heimo Vanhatalo was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Konstantin Kouhi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Timo Palander. Konstantin Kouhi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Veeti Miinalainen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heimo Vanhatalo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Heimo Vanhatalo scored 3-2 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Veeti Miinalainen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Heimo Vanhatalo struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Veeti Miinalainen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Tampere. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Vesa Ruohiainen managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Tampere's supporters rose to their feet, but Vesa Ruohiainen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Veeti Miinalainen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sulho Pyhältö sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heimo Vanhatalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Veeti Miinalainen having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, FC Tampere's goalkeeper Timo Palander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nikodemus Leppilampi. 77 minutes into the match, Lausti's goal looked a bit too open when Vesa Ruohiainen came free, but Veeti Miinalainen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heimo Vanhatalo in the 78th minute of play forced Lausti's goalkeeper Veeti Miinalainen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Lausti's goal looked a bit too open when Heimo Vanhatalo came free, but Veeti Miinalainen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Lausti's Konstantin Kouhi got a free kick in the 86th minute. Veeti Miinalainen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heimo Vanhatalo in the 90th minute of play. After 91 played minutes Lausti got a freekick which was hit by Nikodemus Leppilampi. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Heimo Vanhatalo in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Veeti Miinalainen saved Lausti from getting behind. Vesa Ruohiainen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Tampere had played much better football throughout.
