The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 6 minutes of play, Karhukorpi's Pekko Kangasmäki made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pietari Wesslin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Karhukorpi's Taito Seikola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vilho Rintala in the 11th minute of play. When Nättäri Sports's Vilho Rintala in 19 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Taito Seikola guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Vilho Rintala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pekko Kangasmäki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pietari Wesslin having to interfere. Pietari Wesslin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Karhukorpi. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Uuno Lääkkö was the one to do the kick off. Pekko Kangasmäki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute, Vilho Rintala fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Taito Seikola, passed just outside the right post. If Vilho Rintala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Pekko Kangasmäki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Uuno Lääkkö in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pietari Wesslin saved Nättäri Sports from getting behind. Vilho Rintala struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Taito Seikola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nättäri Sports. After a defensive mix-up in Karhukorpi's zone, Kuisma Saastamoinen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Taito Seikola came out of the goal and Kuisma Saastamoinen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Vilho Rintala managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nättäri Sports's supporters rose to their feet, but Vilho Rintala was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Taito Seikola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kuisma Saastamoinen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Karhukorpi defense, Kuisma Saastamoinen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Taito Seikola. The Karhukorpi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Taito Seikola should have stopped the shot. Uuno Lääkkö's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pietari Wesslin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play.
