If Vilho Rintala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gervásio Castilho made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Kuisma Saastamoinen sent off a good shot on target. Aarto Pihlman took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pietari Wesslin. Pietari Wesslin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Aarto Pihlman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pietari Wesslin having to interfere. Pietari Wesslin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aarto Pihlman, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute, Hersteinn Freysson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blue Mountain State fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 37 minutes into the game, Aatami Meltoranta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blue Mountain State's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nättäri Sports the free kick. In the 37th minute, Aatami Meltoranta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute, Aarto Pihlman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pietari Wesslin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. The Blue Mountain State fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when Blue Mountain State's Aarto Pihlman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After the first half Blue Mountain State were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Aarto Pihlman made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Blue Mountain State's goal looked a bit too open when Vilho Rintala came free, but Gervásio Castilho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miska Seppo kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Aatami Meltoranta might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pietari Wesslin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aatami Meltoranta ran back to his position shaking his head. Blue Mountain State's Elmer Meltoranta was substituted for Hersteinn Freysson. In the 69th match minute, Nättäri Sports was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joona Wallenius to maneuver through the defense. Aarto Pihlman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pietari Wesslin came out and tried to block the shot, but Aarto Pihlman slotted it home off the left post making it 0-9 in the 82nd minute. Pietari Wesslin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aarto Pihlman in the 87th minute of the match. Aki Kotilahti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Pietari Wesslin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pietari Wesslin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aarto Pihlman in the 96th minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Aleko Manchev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pietari Wesslin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. Blue Mountain State's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
