Spectators: 6772 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Teijo Jousmäki started the match with the kick off. Tommi Ollonen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Veli Kivi, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 7 minutes into the game, Aaro Jokiranta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kiikanmäki's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Westbay FF the free kick. After a rather tough play, Kiikanmäki's Aaro Jokiranta got a free kick in the 7th minute. Jere Itäluoma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Rainer Palonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Veli Kivi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roope Lätti might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommi Ollonen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roope Lätti ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roope Lätti in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommi Ollonen saved Kiikanmäki from getting behind. Roope Lätti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommi Ollonen having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Westbay FF's goal looked a bit too open when Teijo Jousmäki came free, but Rainer Palonen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tommi Ollonen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roope Lätti's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. If Roope Lätti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Jere Itäluoma ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rainer Palonen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 42nd match minute, Kiikanmäki was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Asko Hautaoja to maneuver through the defense. If Roope Lätti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roope Lätti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roope Lätti made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Kiikanmäki's zone, Roope Lätti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommi Ollonen came out of the goal and Roope Lätti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jere Itäluoma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a long run with the ball, Iivari Palenius did a trick in the 61st minute in front of Westbay FF's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 2-0. An impressive performance by Kiikanmäki's Iivari Palenius! After having played for 67 minutes, Jere Itäluoma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kiikanmäki's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jere Itäluoma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jere Itäluoma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Rainer Palonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Veli Kivi got free with Tommi Ollonen in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kiikanmäki's Teijo Jousmäki got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 83 minutes, Roope Lätti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Westbay FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roope Lätti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute, Veli Kivi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tommi Ollonen. The goal made the score 2-1. Veli Kivi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Jere Itäluoma managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kiikanmäki's supporters rose to their feet, but Jere Itäluoma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rainer Palonen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th minute, Roope Lätti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jere Itäluoma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
