The score was now 1-0. Olympia 79's Arto Jussila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vilppu Vehmanen in the 8th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Johannes Huikari hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joonas Kinnunen in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hemmo Peltonen saved Mennen FC from getting behind. In the 16th minute Samuel Koivuniemi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hemmo Peltonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuel Koivuniemi had several of the Mennen FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 20 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Hemmo Peltonen as he didn't even see the shot coming. Otso Elovaara hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Mennen FC's goalkeeper Hemmo Peltonen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joonas Kinnunen. If Joonas Kinnunen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had been going on for 30 minutes, Olympia 79's Ukko Paavola got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Hemmo Peltonen. After 33 played minutes Mennen FC got a freekick which was hit by Johannes Huikari. Hemmo Peltonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Koivuniemi in the 35th minute of the match. Ukko Paavola charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ukko Paavola the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ukko Paavola hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Samuel Koivuniemi didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 4-0 via right post in the game's 44th minute. Olympia 79's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of Olympia 79 booed when Mennen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vilppu Vehmanen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olympia 79's Arttu Jaakola was substituted for Joonas Kinnunen. In the 53rd minute, one of Mennen FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mennen FC. Mennen FC's Hemmo Peltonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arttu Jaakola in the 65th minute of play. Hemmo Peltonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arttu Jaakola in the 69th minute of play. Hemmo Peltonen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Koivuniemi, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arttu Jaakola in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hemmo Peltonen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arttu Jaakola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hemmo Peltonen having to interfere. Hemmo Peltonen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arttu Jaakola, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. When Olympia 79's Arttu Jaakola in 89 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Hemmo Peltonen guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hemmo Peltonen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Olympia 79 had played much better football throughout.
