Spectators: 6785 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1785, VIP seats: 0) Roope Lätti made the kick off and thus started the match. FC Ribale's Juha-Pekka Multaharju played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roope Lätti in the 3rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Niko Rimpilä kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Juha-Pekka Multaharju. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. After 7 minutes, Taavetti Pirnes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Westbay FF and the FC Ribale players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Ribale booed when Westbay FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taavetti Pirnes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10thth minute of the game Taisto Ristilä who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Westbay FF's Rainer Palonen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Osmo Lydman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rainer Palonen. Westbay FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osmo Lydman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Veli Kivi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Juha-Pekka Multaharju made a huge save. When FC Ribale's Taisto Ristilä in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Westbay FF's goalie prevented a goal. In the 23rdth minute of the game Taisto Ristilä who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Westbay FF's Rainer Palonen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Juha-Pekka Multaharju took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kalervo Litmanen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the game, FC Ribale's Taisto Ristilä nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rainer Palonen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Taisto Ristilä recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Taisto Ristilä's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rainer Palonen was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Taisto Ristilä in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rainer Palonen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juha-Pekka Multaharju made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roope Lätti in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Taisto Ristilä made the kick off in the second half. Kalervo Litmanen took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juha-Pekka Multaharju. Juha-Pekka Multaharju dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Taisto Ristilä who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Rainer Palonen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 58th minute, Aatos Masalin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rainer Palonen was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Taisto Ristilä did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-4 to the left of a surprised Rainer Palonen 65 minutes into the match. After having played for 68 minutes, Taisto Ristilä managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Ribale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Taisto Ristilä was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC Ribale's Juha-Pekka Kangaskorpi was substituted for Aatos Masalin. Taisto Ristilä got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 2-5 in the right cross in the 75th match minute before Rainer Palonen had time to react. 80 minutes into the game, Westbay FF's Veli Kivi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juha-Pekka Multaharju made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-5. Taisto Ristiläs short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Rainer Palonen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 85 minutes of play, FC Ribale's Juha-Pekka Kangaskorpi made it 3-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rainer Palonen was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Westbay FF's goalkeeper Rainer Palonen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC Ribale played a much better game than Westbay FF and deserved their victory. The Westbay FF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
