The referee ignored JEPO ALLMIGHTY's protests and gave Elmer Selänne a yellow card for diving instead. Elmer Selänne hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Miikka Kallioniemi struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Jere Johansson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lapinjärvi. Ensio Holtti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Miikka Kallioniemi to strike the kick off in the second half. JEPO ALLMIGHTY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lapinjärvi the free kick. Aarto Takavirta kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match.
