Spectators: 7707 (Terracing: 5803, Seating: 1779, VIP seats: 125) TimperilAaa's Touko Pikkarainen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Taisto Elo fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TimperilAaa's protests and gave Taisto Elo a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in TimperilAaa's zone, Aappo Siponen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Päiviö Hana came out of the goal and Aappo Siponen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Unto Rosenqvist in the 5th minute of play forced TimperilAaa's goalkeeper Päiviö Hana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Taisto Elo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aappo Siponen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute Aarne Kaven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Päiviö Hana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. TimperilAaa's Päiviö Hana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Unto Rosenqvist in the 16th minute of play. Päiviö Hana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aarne Kaven in the 17th minute of the match. Ilmo Virtala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimi Ristilä having to interfere. Jimi Ristilä came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by TimperilAaa's Miko Suoraniemi. But to his dismay, Miko Suoraniemi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 36th match minute, TimperilAaa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilmo Virtala to maneuver through the defense. Päiviö Hana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Unto Rosenqvist in the 41st minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Unto Rosenqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Päiviö Hana. TimperilAaa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Unto Rosenqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Unto Rosenqvist made the kick off in the second half. Aappo Siponen hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. The supporters of Heimari FC booed when TimperilAaa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taavi Lindfors didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd match minute, Heimari FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kauno Timmonen to maneuver through the defense. Aarne Kaven hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Päiviö Hana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Unto Rosenqvist went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. If Ilmo Virtala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Päiviö Hana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Unto Rosenqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Heimari FC's goalkeeper Jimi Ristilä, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Päiviö Hana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aarne Kaven in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute, Aarne Kaven left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Heimari FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Taisto Elo in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jimi Ristilä prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Although TimperilAaa had been in control for most of the match, Heimari FC still came away with the win.
