Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Alvar Nielikäinen started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience was convinced that Eero Nielikäinen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Auno Lehto was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvar Nielikäinen couldn't finish the play. Auno Lehto came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Haukkavaaral IFK's Veijo Harinen. But to his dismay, Veijo Harinen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. But to his dismay, Eero Nielikäinen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when Eero Nielikäinen made the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Reino Helin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tervasaari and the Haukkavaaral IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Haukkavaaral IFK booed when Tervasaari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reino Helin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haukkavaaral IFK's Veijo Harinen got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Veijo Harinen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Auno Lehto was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Jorma Koivula capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jorma Koivula really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Jorma Koivula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Auno Lehto having to interfere. When Sauli Peltoniemi fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tervasaari's protests and gave Sauli Peltoniemi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th match minute, Tervasaari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sauli Peltoniemi to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Veijo Harinen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the last second Auno Lehto throw himself and got hold of the ball when Jorma Koivula in the 74thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 80th match minute, Tervasaari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sauli Peltoniemi to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd match minute, Tervasaari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kari Määttänen to maneuver through the defense. Haukkavaaral IFK's Jorma Koivula got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 96 minutes into the match, Tervasaari's goal looked a bit too open when Veijo Harinen came free, but Auno Lehto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Haukkavaaral IFK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tervasaari.
