Spectators: 6786 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1786, VIP seats: 0) AC Vaalimaa's Ale Karalahti started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Taneli Viljamaa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Petri Vanhatalo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ilmari Kangaskorpi, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. If Ilmari Kangaskorpi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 11th minute Taneli Viljamaa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petri Vanhatalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Taneli Viljamaa in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petri Vanhatalo saved AC Vaalimaa from getting behind. Keijo Pietikäinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonni Kananen having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taneli Viljamaa in the 23rd minute of play forced AC Vaalimaa's goalkeeper Petri Vanhatalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Black Wolves's Taneli Viljamaa got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Taneli Viljamaa took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Petri Vanhatalo. Petri Vanhatalo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 32 minutes into the match, AC Vaalimaa's goal looked a bit too open when Taneli Viljamaa came free, but Petri Vanhatalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Black Wolves's goal looked a bit too open when Ale Karalahti came free, but Jonni Kananen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ilmari Kangaskorpi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, AC Vaalimaa's goal looked a bit too open when Taneli Viljamaa came free, but Petri Vanhatalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Taneli Viljamaa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Black Wolves were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Taneli Viljamaa made the kick off in the second half. AC Vaalimaa's Petri Vanhatalo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save AC Vaalimaa from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Black Wolves booed when AC Vaalimaa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reima Hirvonen didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to AC Vaalimaa getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Reima Hirvonen hit a great ball. Petri Vanhatalo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 61st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Into Nyrhinen. Petri Vanhatalo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ilmari Kangaskorpi in the 63rd minute. After a rather tough play, Black Wolves's Aatu Kunnas got a free kick in the 66th minute. After recieving a nice pass, AC Vaalimaa's Jorma Ahonen tried to score from far away in the 67th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, Black Wolves's Taneli Viljamaa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Petri Vanhatalo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonni Kananen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keijo Pietikäinen in the 96th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
