But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jori Timmonen couldn't finish the play. Maunu Salomaa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilmari Saravo in the 16th minute of the match. Ilmari Saravo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maunu Salomaa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Usko Lahtinen, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Pasin Team's Maunu Salomaa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilmari Saravo in the 21st minute of play. Arsi Rontti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jori Timmonen in the 32nd minute. In the 64th minute, Jori Timmonen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aimo Ruisniemi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arsi Rontti having to interfere. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The HK Scan fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when HK Scan's Ilmari Saravo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The HK Scan supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing HK Scan would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
