The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Lauri Suominen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gunners's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lauri Suominen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lauri Suominen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Aukusti Tallqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Verneri Kolsi hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Rauli Vähä fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ylermi Väänänen having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Gunners's goalkeeper Ylermi Väänänen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teuvo Eskelinen. Aukusti Tallqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauri Suominen in the 17th minute of play. Aukusti Tallqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Taavi Kiviranta in the 18th minute of the match. Ylermi Väänänen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antti Hannukainen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ossi Noronen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ylermi Väänänen. Gunners's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ylermi Väänänen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rauli Vähä in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Gunners's goal looked a bit too open when Kaleva Hedberg came free, but Ylermi Väänänen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ylermi Väänänen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teuvo Eskelinen went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Jurvansalo's zone, Verneri Kolsi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aukusti Tallqvist came out of the goal and Verneri Kolsi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 37 minutes of play, Gunners's Taavi Kiviranta made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aukusti Tallqvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Taavi Kiviranta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauri Suominen in the 46th minute of play forced Jurvansalo's goalkeeper Aukusti Tallqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Jurvansalo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gunners were winning 1-3.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Rauli Vähä in the 54th minute of play forced Gunners's goalkeeper Ylermi Väänänen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 57th play minutes Lauri Suominen shot 1-4, a short shot which went by Aukusti Tallqvist and just under the crossbar into goal. Jurvansalo's Aukusti Tallqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Jurvansalo from getting a goal against them. Aukusti Tallqvist made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Lauri Suominen sent off a good shot on target. Ylermi Väänänen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rauli Vähä in the 64th minute of the match. A collision led to Jurvansalo getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Teuvo Eskelinen hit a great ball. With his leg Aukusti Tallqvist managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Gunners's Lauri Suominen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ylermi Väänänen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaleva Hedberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Lauri Suominen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aukusti Tallqvist was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. 76 minutes into the match, Gunners's goal looked a bit too open when Antti Hannukainen came free, but Ylermi Väänänen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 minutes of play, Gunners's Lauri Suominen made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aukusti Tallqvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 95th minute Lauri Suominen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aukusti Tallqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
