Jyrki Vento's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Esko Niskala skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Akkala FC's Marko Mäntylä was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 23rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Sami Veikkanen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anselmi Timmonen's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. The Akkala FC fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Akkala FC's Jyrki Vento looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 34 minutes, Marko Mäntylä managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Akkala FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marko Mäntylä was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 37 minutes, Marko Mäntylä made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Virojoki's Esko Niskala tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Esko Niskala was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Marko Mäntylä capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marko Mäntylä really showed his touch with that goal: 7-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juuso Leonoff was the one to do the kick off. Esko Niskala made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. If Jyrki Vento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. Virojoki's Esko Niskala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marko Mäntylä in the 73rd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Panu Koivuporras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 75 minutes of play, Akkala FC's Marko Mäntylä made it 10-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Esko Niskala was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Jyrki Vento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Akkala FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jyrki Vento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esko Niskala breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Esko Niskala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marko Mäntylä, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. If Jyrki Vento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84th play minutes Marko Mäntylä shot 11-0, a short shot which went by Esko Niskala and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juuso Leonoff in the 89th minute of play forced Akkala FC's goalkeeper Sami Veikkanen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Anselmi Timmonen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sami Veikkanen. The goal made the score 11-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jyrki Vento in the 97th minute of play forced Virojoki's goalkeeper Esko Niskala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Akkala FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
