When the match had been going on for 18 minutes, Festina Lente's Hans Trepp got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Maarek Orupõld. In the 21st match minute, Manchester United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aron Hütt to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute Robert Talv shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maarek Orupõld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ailar Hurt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunnar Eessaar having to interfere. Virgo Kobakäpp hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Festina Lente's Hans Trepp shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 44th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Maarek Orupõld but with some difficulty. If Robert Talv had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ailar Hurt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Kaimo Jüriöö managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kaimo Jüriöö was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gunnar Eessaar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ailar Hurt, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Maarek Orupõld took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivar Normak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Robert Talv had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute Ailar Hurt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Eessaar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jüri Truupõld kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Ailar Hurt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Ailar Hurt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gunnar Eessaar. The goal made the score 1-3. Gunnar Eessaar made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Aron Hütt sent off a good shot on target. 87 minutes into the match, Festina Lente's goal looked a bit too open when Ailar Hurt came free, but Gunnar Eessaar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, Aron Hütt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
