Marko Lehtmets didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Type O Negative. In the 26th match minute, FC Mustamäe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Voldemar Sõnajalg to maneuver through the defense. Voldemar Sõnajalg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but José Luis Chilavert made a huge save. Type O Negative's José Luis Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Georg Võrno in the 37th minute of play. With a little luck, Type O Negative's José Luis Chilavert got control of the ball when Georg Võrno tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Type O Negative's Heino Kivaste got a free kick in the 40th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Risto Õnnis got free with José Luis Chilavert in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute, Kusti Jaas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Luis Chilavert was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Georg Võrno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Luis Chilavert having to interfere. Type O Negative made a substitution. Rain Kungla replaced Olavi Loorens. José Luis Chilavert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Risto Õnnis, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Type O Negative's José Luis Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kusti Jaas in the 74th minute of play. When Type O Negative's Angel Death in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Angel Death who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Marko Lehtmets when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 82nd minute, Voldemar Sõnajalg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Luis Chilavert was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. In the 91st minute Georg Võrno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Luis Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that FC Mustamäe were the better team. FC Mustamäe's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
