After 4 minutes, Simeon Tselikas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Markási BC and the A.C OMONOIA players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Markási BC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Simeon Tselikas hit a great ball. In the 8th match minute, A.C OMONOIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alkinoos Chrysanthopoulos to maneuver through the defense. Aiolos Arvanitoyannis made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Menios Anetakis sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of A.C OMONOIA booed when Markási BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thanasis Markopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Akestes Bertsimas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 15th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Glauke Kaloxylos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agix Tsardikos in the 17th minute of the match. Markási BC's Glauke Kaloxylos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agix Tsardikos in the 22nd minute of play. After 24 played minutes Markási BC got a freekick which was hit by Thanasis Markopoulos. After recieving a nice pass, A.C OMONOIA's Akestes Bertsimas tried to score from far away in the 27th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Alkibiades Villas fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Markási BC's protests and gave Alkibiades Villas a yellow card for diving instead. After 28 played minutes Markási BC got a freekick which was hit by Alkibiades Villas. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Panos Glynatsis in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Glauke Kaloxylos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Agix Tsardikos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glauke Kaloxylos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panos Glynatsis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Markási BC defense, Panos Glynatsis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Glauke Kaloxylos. The Markási BC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Glauke Kaloxylos should have stopped the shot. 48 minutes into the match, Markási BC's goal looked a bit too open when Agix Tsardikos came free, but Glauke Kaloxylos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alkibiades Villas to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Alkinoos Chrysanthopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.C OMONOIA's supporters rose to their feet, but Alkinoos Chrysanthopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Glauke Kaloxylos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Markási BC's zone, Agix Tsardikos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glauke Kaloxylos came out of the goal and Agix Tsardikos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 65 minutes, Phoibos Angelis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Markási BC and the A.C OMONOIA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th match minute, Markási BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phoibos Angelis to maneuver through the defense. When A.C OMONOIA's Agix Tsardikos in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Markási BC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Markási BC's goalkeeper Glauke Kaloxylos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agix Tsardikos in the 76th minute of play forced Markási BC's goalkeeper Glauke Kaloxylos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Menios Anetakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Markási BC's supporters rose to their feet, but Menios Anetakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aiolos Arvanitoyannis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Panos Glynatsis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Glauke Kaloxylos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alkinoos Chrysanthopoulos's late challenge caught a Markási BC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alkinoos Chrysanthopoulos helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of A.C OMONOIA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Markási BC:s goal. Antaios Papadelias shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Glauke Kaloxylos made a fantastic save in the 99th minute, when Panos Glynatsis sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched A.C OMONOIA eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
