Spectators: 6797 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1797, VIP seats: 0) AEK ATHENS's Epeios Beldekas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adhemar Berger hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Askanios Dimitriou took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Urbano Naldo. AEK ATHENS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Samothracia FC booed when AEK ATHENS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Akestes Harames didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kheiron Sousanis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 13th minute, Kheiron Sousanis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AEK ATHENS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Kheiron Sousanis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 30 minutes, Adhemar Berger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AEK ATHENS and the Samothracia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Samothracia FC's Aietes Kakavetsis shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 31st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Urbano Naldo but with some difficulty. In the 33rd minute, Juliusz Kondysar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th match minute, AEK ATHENS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Akestes Harames to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kheiron Sousanis in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Takis Gazonas saved Samothracia FC from getting behind. After having played for 45 minutes, Kheiron Sousanis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AEK ATHENS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kheiron Sousanis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Takis Gazonas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kheiron Sousanis's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

53 minutes into the match, Samothracia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kheiron Sousanis came free, but Takis Gazonas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Samothracia FC's Takis Gazonas got control of the ball when Kheiron Sousanis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kheiron Sousanis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Takis Gazonas having to make a save. When Kheiron Sousanis came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the AEK ATHENS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kheiron Sousanis couldn't finish the play. Kheiron Sousanis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Takis Gazonas having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kheiron Sousanis in the 65th minute of play forced Samothracia FC's goalkeeper Takis Gazonas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AEK ATHENS's Akestes Kaloxylos was substituted for Akestes Harames. In the 68th minute of the match Kastor Despines sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Urbano Naldo skillfully saved the ball. Danaos Siannas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AEK ATHENS's Teukros Liachames was substituted for Dimosthenis Alexis. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind AEK ATHENS's goalkeeper Urbano Naldo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Teukros Liachames hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 86th match minute, Samothracia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aias Sotiris to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Skhoineus Papageorge in the 86th minute really tested Takis Gazonas's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Kheiron Sousaniss short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Takis Gazonas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 96th minute, Kheiron Sousanis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Takis Gazonas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The Samothracia FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. AEK ATHENS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
