Omiros Rigatos hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the match, AEP FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anestis Kouretas came free, but Agis Georgousopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agis Georgousopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Akestes Rigatos in the 9th minute of play. Smigádhi FC's Alexandros Paraskevopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Akamas Manoukarakis in the 11th minute of play. After 14 played minutes Smigádhi FC got a freekick which was hit by Omiros Rigatos. After 18 played minutes AEP FC got a freekick which was hit by Kastor Michael. After 23 played minutes AEP FC got a freekick which was hit by Kastor Michael. 24 minutes into the game, Kastor Michael was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AEP FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Smigádhi FC the free kick. A collision led to AEP FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Kastor Michael hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Akestes Rigatos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Agis Georgousopoulos. AEP FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Akestes Rigatos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 32 minutes into the match, AEP FC's goal looked a bit too open when Akestes Rigatos came free, but Agis Georgousopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in AEP FC's zone, Akestes Rigatos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agis Georgousopoulos came out of the goal and Akestes Rigatos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 40 minutes into the match, AEP FC's goal looked a bit too open when Telis Petrakos came free, but Agis Georgousopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, Makhaon Christou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Smigádhi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Makhaon Christou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Akestes Rigatos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Makhaon Christou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Agis Georgousopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Kheiron Pefanis's late challenge caught a Smigádhi FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kheiron Pefanis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd minute, Kheiron Pefanis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the match, AEP FC's goal looked a bit too open when Makhaon Christou came free, but Agis Georgousopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Akestes Rigatos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Agis Georgousopoulos, passed just outside the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tolis Stasinopoulos during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 72 minutes of play, Smigádhi FC's Akestes Rigatos made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Agis Georgousopoulos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Akestes Rigatos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Makhaon Christou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agis Georgousopoulos having to interfere. Smigádhi FC made a substitution. Hector Makricosta replaced Panos Rigatos. In the 79th minute, one of AEP FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AEP FC. When the match had been going on for 81 minutes, Smigádhi FC's Thodoris Kringos got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Agis Georgousopoulos. In the 90th match minute, AEP FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kastor Michael to maneuver through the defense. 93 minutes into the match, Smigádhi FC's Makhaon Christou sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Agis Georgousopoulos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Smigádhi FC's Akestes Rigatos got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Smigádhi FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
