Plamen Ribarov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vanko Pankev having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Dinko Moraliyski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chupacabra Plovdiv fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a rather tough play, Chupacabra Plovdiv's Boycho Mutishev got a free kick in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Chupacabra Plovdiv's zone, Panayot Gulenov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Apostol Gervazov came out of the goal and Panayot Gulenov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Apostol Gervazov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nacho Funev in the 25th minute. Spiridon Vúlnarov's late challenge caught a Chupacabra Plovdiv's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Spiridon Vúlnarov helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Mikeloto 1897 getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Spiridon Vúlnarov hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Dinko Moraliyski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Plamen Ribarov in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vanko Pankev saved Mikeloto 1897 from getting behind. Vanko Pankev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinko Moraliyski in the 46th minute of play. Dinko Moraliyski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Chupacabra Plovdiv were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Spiridon Vúlnarov hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute, Nacho Batanov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Plamen Ribarov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Apostol Gervazov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nacho Batanov in the 74th minute of the match. Chupacabra Plovdiv's Dinko Moraliyski got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dinko Moraliyski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Vanko Pankev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chupacabra Plovdiv's goalkeeper Apostol Gervazov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Chupacabra Plovdiv supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chupacabra Plovdiv would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
