An unexpectedly hard shot by Yanaki Perenovski in the 15th minute of play forced Balabash's goalkeeper Yane Hadzhistoyanov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valcho Topuzov charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valcho Topuzov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 18 played minutes Balabash got a freekick which was hit by Valcho Topuzov. If Dimcho Vekilski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Yanaki Perenovski kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Yane Hadzhistoyanov. That made the score 1-0 in the 25 minute of play. AC Tigers's Antonio Tzintzarski quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ikonom Tzakovski, made in the 28th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Dimcho Vekilski managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC Tigers's supporters rose to their feet, but Dimcho Vekilski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yane Hadzhistoyanov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bozhil Petkov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Yane Hadzhistoyanov made a huge save. Yane Hadzhistoyanov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yanaki Perenovski, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Yane Hadzhistoyanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bozhil Petkov in the 39th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After having played for 56 minutes, Dimcho Vekilski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Tigers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dimcho Vekilski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 59 minutes of play Balabash's Valcho Topuzov was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 60 played minutes Balabash got a freekick which was hit by Valcho Topuzov. Yanaki Perenovski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
