CSKA HEROES BULGARIA's Stiliyan Boishin got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Spartak Varna 1918's Radoy Otashliyski got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Lilcho Dungarov came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Spartak Varna 1918 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lilcho Dungarov couldn't finish the play. A collision led to CSKA HEROES BULGARIA getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Vasko Munev hit a great ball. Alexander Cheshirkov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Encho Trashliev made a huge save. Stiliyan Boishin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Spartak Varna 1918's Adam Mavrodiev got a free kick in the 46th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lilcho Dungarov to make the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, CSKA HEROES BULGARIA's Stiliyan Boishin made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Encho Trashliev was left in no man's land by his defense there! 56 minutes into the match, Spartak Varna 1918's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Cheshirkov came free, but Encho Trashliev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Spartak Varna 1918's zone, Teodor Kartunov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Encho Trashliev came out of the goal and Teodor Kartunov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 64 played minutes Spartak Varna 1918 got a freekick which was hit by Stanko Stumbov. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Cheshirkov in the 70th minute of play forced Spartak Varna 1918's goalkeeper Encho Trashliev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Stiliyan Boishin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tzocho Chovanski charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Tanek Rekowski made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Venko Shabanov sent off a good shot on target. Stiliyan Boishin scored 4-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Encho Trashliev, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Teodor Kartunov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Encho Trashliev read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Deyan Kamenski scored 5-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Encho Trashliev, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tanek Rekowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lilcho Dungarov, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. If Stiliyan Boishin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. CSKA HEROES BULGARIA fully deserved thier win.
