An unexpectedly hard shot by Milko Chakmakov in the 47th minute of play forced ПФК БОТЕВ ПЛОВДИВ's goalkeeper Nikifor Panagonov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ПФК БОТЕВ ПЛОВДИВ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Levski were winning 0-5.

The crowd rose to their feet as Milko Chakmakov kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nikifor Panagonov. That made the score 0-6 in the 53 minute of play. Izydor Gongolewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stoimen Haralambiev in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Milko Chakmakov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nikifor Panagonov was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. In the 74th minute, ПФК БОТЕВ ПЛОВДИВ's Milyo Balev seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Milyo Balev the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of ПФК БОТЕВ ПЛОВДИВ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Milyo Balev had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Sergey Kaloyanov placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Nikifor Panagonov was a little too slow when Spiro Zlatarski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 0-9. Nikifor Panagonov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milko Chakmakov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 81 minutes, Spiro Zlatarski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Levski's supporters crossed their fingers, but Spiro Zlatarski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iskren Matikanov during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th minute, Iskren Matikanov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ventzislav Boshnakov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikifor Panagonov having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Spiro Zlatarski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Levski's supporters rose to their feet, but Spiro Zlatarski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nikifor Panagonov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zlatin Baykushev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Levski played a much better game than ПФК БОТЕВ ПЛОВДИВ and deserved their victory. The ПФК БОТЕВ ПЛОВДИВ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
