Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Erkan Zeynelabidin got the match started through his kick off. After having played for 4 minutes, Erkan Zeynelabidin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mesudiye's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erkan Zeynelabidin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Mesudiye booed when Catalpinar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Çakabey Ubeydullah didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mesudiye's zone, Rıfat Yağan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tugay Rekin came out of the goal and Rıfat Yağan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Catalpinar's Kudret Tüzel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erkan Zeynelabidin in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Rıfat Yağan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tugay Rekin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Necat Yiğit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Şimşek Uraltay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Necat Yiğit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Tugay Rekin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Mesudiye getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Şadi Özerdal hit a great ball. In the 30th minute, Rıfat Yağan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tugay Rekin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Tugay Rekin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rıfat Yağan, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Erkan Zeynelabidin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Kudret Tüzel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Catalpinar's goalkeeper Kudret Tüzel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rıfat Yağan to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Mesudiye's goal looked a bit too open when Rıfat Yağan came free, but Tugay Rekin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Necat Yiğit recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tugay Rekin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rıfat Yağan in the 61st minute of play. Necat Yiğit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tugay Rekin having to interfere. The supporters of Catalpinar booed when Mesudiye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Refik Belen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kudret Tüzel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cihangir Beyhan in the 70th minute. Kudret Tüzel was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Erkan Zeynelabidin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Erkan Zeynelabidin really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Cihangir Beyhan in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kudret Tüzel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cihangir Beyhan got free with Kudret Tüzel in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Rıfat Yağan came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Catalpinar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rıfat Yağan couldn't finish the play. Tugay Rekin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rıfat Yağan's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute Necat Yiğit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tugay Rekin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baykan Boğataş kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Necat Yiğit's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tugay Rekin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play.
