Barışcan Çağa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anıl Berk Elçibey having to interfere. Anıl Berk Onursoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Özal Sadan having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Tuncay Tarhan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anıl Berk Elçibey. Gaziosmanpasa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tuncay Tarhan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Özal Sadan made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Derviş Harmancı sent off a good shot on target. The referee felt a red card was in order, 39 minutes into the game, when Ergün Samir put in a rough tackle. The referee gave Edirnekapi FK a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Yüce Otaran, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gaziosmanpasa's Anıl Berk Elçibey. 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Barışcan Çağa made the kick off in the second half. Tuncay Tarhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 54th minute of the match Yüce Otaran sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anıl Berk Elçibey skillfully saved the ball. Barışcan Çağa was extremely unlucky when he, in the 56th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 57 minutes, Çakabey İdil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gaziosmanpasa and the Edirnekapi FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Çakabey İdil kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Anıl Berk Elçibey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barışcan Çağa, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Barışcan Çağa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anıl Berk Elçibey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barışcan Çağa in the 86th minute of play forced Gaziosmanpasa's goalkeeper Anıl Berk Elçibey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Gaziosmanpasa's goal looked a bit too open when Barışcan Çağa came free, but Anıl Berk Elçibey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Edirnekapi FK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Edirnekapi FK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
