Demiralp Naci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdi Mehmet Engiay having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sezai Sargın got free with Abdi Mehmet Engiay in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Sarioglan getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Baturhan Tuğlu hit a great ball. Sezai Sargın fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdi Mehmet Engiay having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Feridun Başay took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Abdi Mehmet Engiay to make any attempt to save it. Sezai Sargın's late challenge caught a Yerköy JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sezai Sargın helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Yerköy JK booed when Sarioglan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sezai Sargın didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmet Asım Tümenbay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ünsal Buminhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Feridun Başay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Feridun Başay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Asım Tümenbay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ünsal Buminhan having to interfere. Yerköy JK's Batı Perkel got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Yerköy JK's goal looked a bit too open when Feridun Başay came free, but Abdi Mehmet Engiay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute, Ali Kazım hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Sarioglan's Recep Budak tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Ahmet Asım Tümenbay made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Yerköy JK's zone, Kerimhan Baltaş stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdi Mehmet Engiay came out of the goal and Kerimhan Baltaş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 54th minute Sezai Sargın shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdi Mehmet Engiay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ahmet Asım Tümenbay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ünsal Buminhan was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Batı Perkel struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Ünsal Buminhan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yerköy JK. Ahmet Asım Tümenbay in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ünsal Buminhan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 69 minutes, Sezai Sargın managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarioglan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sezai Sargın was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Batı Perkel put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ünsal Buminhan. When Suphi Kutel fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yerköy JK's protests and gave Suphi Kutel a yellow card for diving instead. Suphi Kutel kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After 80 played minutes, Sarioglan's Recep Budak shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Abdi Mehmet Engiay came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sarioglan reached it. Abdi Mehmet Engiay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sezai Sargın in the 82nd minute of the match. Batı Perkel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ünsal Buminhan having to interfere. After some careless play in the Sarioglan defense, Batı Perkel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ünsal Buminhan. The Sarioglan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ünsal Buminhan should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Feridun Başay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sarioglan's supporters rose to their feet, but Feridun Başay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abdi Mehmet Engiay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Yerköy JK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Yerköy JK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
