Macit Özbilgin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bayındır Vahapoğlu in the 4th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Ömür Çapan could shoot a difficult shot in the 5th minute, which Macit Özbilgin however easily saved by the left post. In the 13th play minute Özal Özertem came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Macit Özbilgin. 1-0. After some careless play in the Ödemis JK defense, Basri Zahir kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ahmet Geçer. The Ödemis JK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ahmet Geçer should have stopped the shot. Ödemis JK's Ahmet Geçer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basri Zahir in the 22nd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Sait Salim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Macit Özbilgin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Basri Zahir came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Sosyalist Gençler Birliği fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basri Zahir couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ömür Çapan got free with Macit Özbilgin in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 35 minutes into the match, Basri Zahir notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Ödemis JK's Ahmet Geçer. Ahmet Geçer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Özal Özertem came free with the goalkeeper in the 39th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Macit Özbilgin could save by the left post. In the 40th minute of the match, Tayyar Sayrak tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Macit Özbilgin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Bayındır Vahapoğlu struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Macit Özbilgin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ödemis JK. In the 43rd minute, Aktuğ Kılıçdaroğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Macit Özbilgin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özal Özertem in the 61st minute of play. Macit Özbilgin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tayyar Sayrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 64th match minute, Ödemis JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Özal Özertem to maneuver through the defense. When Basri Zahir in the 85th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Ahmet Geçer kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-4 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. 89 minutes into the match, Bayındır Vahapoğlu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Macit Özbilgin. Sosyalist Gençler Birliği's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bayındır Vahapoğlu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Basri Zahir might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ahmet Geçer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Basri Zahir ran back to his position shaking his head. When the final whistle sounded Sosyalist Gençler Birliği left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ödemis JK.
