Murgul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Şimşek İmruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sefa Tur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Şimşek İmruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Şimşek İmruz scored 0-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sefa Tur, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hikmet Üstay blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sefa Tur having to make a save. A collision led to Sarkisla getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Berker Rıza Eyüpoğlu hit a great ball. Murgul were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Sarkisla's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kayhan Ergüvenç took the corner. Kayhan Ergüvenç made a great header on Murgul's corner, it was just that Sarkisla's Sefa Tur managed to reach the ball for a save. 38 minutes into the game, Dursun İplikçi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hikmet Üstay couldn't finish the play. 65 minutes into the match, Murgul's goal looked a bit too open when Hadi Baytugay came free, but Öztürk Mutlualp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Murgul's Hazar Tuncalp got a free kick in the 67th minute. Hıncal Öktuğ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Öztürk Mutlualp having to interfere. Sefa Tur made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Hikmet Üstay sent off a good shot on target. When Hikmet Üstay came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Murgul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hikmet Üstay couldn't finish the play. After 85 minutes, Esen Yay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Murgul and the Sarkisla players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hıncal Öktuğ in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Öztürk Mutlualp saved Murgul from getting behind.
