Göksun Nizam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from İlhami Göktürk in the 5th minute of the match. Rüknettin Akatay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Göksun Nizam made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Mecnun Ergök sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Sungurlu's zone, Mecnun Ergök stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Göksun Nizam came out of the goal and Mecnun Ergök tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. İlhami Göktürk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute İlhami Göktürk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Göksun Nizam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Mecnun Ergök ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Göksun Nizam was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Timur Çelikoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamber Gençyaz having to interfere. Göksun Nizam made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Mecnun Ergök sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Konyaspor's zone, Timur Çelikoz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kamber Gençyaz came out of the goal and Timur Çelikoz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 40 minutes into the match, Sungurlu's goalkeeper Göksun Nizam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mecnun Ergök. In the 44th minute, Mecnun Ergök got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Timur Çelikoz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If İlhami Göktürk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Mecnun Ergök's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Göksun Nizam was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Konyaspor's Mecnun Ergök got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rüknettin Akatay's late challenge caught a Sungurlu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rüknettin Akatay helped the player get up and apologised. Rüknettin Akatay hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the match, Sungurlu's Timur Çelikoz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kamber Gençyaz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Timur Çelikoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Timur Çelikoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamber Gençyaz having to interfere. After 89 played minutes Konyaspor got a freekick which was hit by Tacettin Uluğ. Timur Çelikoz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kamber Gençyaz having to make a save. Konyaspor's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
